Johnny K This is the first time I have a heated blanket, and I can say it is worthwhile. I use this blanket almost every day. So far, it has been very useful to me. Control levels are simple to use. It has a 3-hour automatic off timer, so in case you accidentally forget to turn it off, it's fine. I haven't tried washing it yet, but it claims to be machine-washable. We'll see.
